He’s been painting all his life but says it’s thanks to his family he turned a hobby into a career. Dad, photographer Johnny Morris and mum, Thelma Mansfield, TV presenter turned fulltime artist, were at hand to give professional advice.
Now based in Dublin, stints in France, Italy and Spain influenced his colourful, vivid work, with themes of urban decay and voyeurism. “I like to paint portraits of people I’m passionate about.”
Sells his work on Sundays on Merrion Square.
Music and art are Micky’s driving forces, as is the pursuit of a good time. Juices like a demon. Hangs out in Dice Bar and with his mother. “I’m trying to have as much fun as possible before im toast.”
