Jon Morris was born in Dublin in 1958. He has always had an urge to paint , and a chance meeting with the artist Brian Quinn who was painting on the side of the road in 1997 made this urge irresitible. He took some lessons from Brian who thought him how to use colours, how to hold the brush, how to see things. He sees things in a refereshingly different way and does not feel any loyalty to particular art forms or systems. He worked for some years from his home in kilteel and in the recent past from a purpose built studio in his home in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick.
