Simone was born in Dublin and studied in the School of Art and Design in Mount Joy Square, Dublin. In 1993 she emigrated to New Zealand and spent seven years living and travelling between Aukland and Dublin.
Simone's love of color developed during her time in the bright climate of New Zealand. By using color in an exciting manner, her paintings have an uplifting quality that brightens ones spirit and emotions. Full of life and character, they have a charm that captivates the viewer. A mixture of acrylic paint and glazes give her work a glass-like effect. A build up of blended colours on the paper combine with the relief gold to add depth, detail and dimension.
