Gena Lynam
From an early age, Gena enjoyed painting and when her family went on their annual holiday to Roundstone, Galway, she remembers watching various well known artists painting there.
Her own style developed by the early seventies when she painted constantly and began painting full time by 2000 using oils and pastels. She draws her inspiration from sources such as the rugged land and seascapes of the West and South of Ireland, interpreting their romantic nature with their own unique view. Her impressionistic flower studies are drawn from various aspects of her own garden and from wild meadows close to the shores of the Atlantic.
A graduate of Trinity College, her work is shown in major galleries in the South and West of Ireland as well as Dublin and is represented in private and corporate collections around the world.
