Mark Dwyer started to paint with oils on canvas in his early teens and won a
prize in the Texaco national children’s art competition.
As young adult Mark funded a trip to America by selling his paintings
which were mainly land and seascapes.
After returning from America he went on to study ceramic design full time
in N.C.A.D. in Dublin for four years.
After college he set up his own pottery called ‘Liffey Mud’ in Dublin.
Painting with oils was always his first love and promised that one day he
would return to the easel.
Mark has been so inspired by the amazing settings and back drops of the
west of Ireland- in particular the Burren, the sea and its skies - that he returned to painting.
All of his works are now created with a palette knife.
