Madeline
considers herself to be a classical realist painter. After
graduating from the Crawford Municipal College of Art in Cork, she
began many years of working in art-related fields while continuing
her studies of the old masters and their work practices.
Time spent
living and working in France, Switzerland, and America, as well as
Dublin and London has contributed to the depth and diversity of her
painting.Portraits in oil on linen, illustration, fashion design,
and related experience all combine to inform her current work which
is primarily oil on canvas.
