Mary grew up next to the sea in Salthill, Galway and it has been a huge influence on her life and work. She has always had a great interest in art and poetry. In recent years, she has taken up art full time with amazing results. Having worked with various mediums she now finds that she is really at home using oils.
Mary is self taught, a skill which allows her to go beyond any defined boundaries or expectations. The influence of the sea is easily recognized in her many seascapes. Her love for the abstract produces very interesting images incorporating different perspectives on lifes experiences.
She exhibits in various galleries throughout the country where her work is increasingly in demand by art lovers.
