Tom studied art at the Limerick School of Art under Richard Butcher, eventually becoming a professional artist and part time art instructor. After four years of formal schooling in the fundamentals, he took on the responsibility of training himself. He studied the masters and observed others technique and subject matter, all the while developing and refining his own technique. He understood that practice was essential and followed what he learned
as a result. |
