Geraldine Folan
Geraldine, who is a Galway born artist, uses as her inspiration the Western seaboard which is heavenly shaped and influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. In her current exhibition the seascapes reflect the energy, movement and colours of the rolling waves while her landscapes of the Western seaboard show the effects of the elements along the coast from Galway to Clare and Kerry. The Western skies have fascinated Geraldine all her life
and she has been painting
skyscapes for a number of years. Inspired by the ever changing skies of the West to great effect she creates contemporary paintings.
Geraldine only paints oil on canvas. She has exhibited in a regular basis since graduating in 1998 from GMIT.
